Scrollable text

This tutorial will teach you how to create scrollable text. This effect is very simple and will require using the scrollbar component.

Scrollable text

Step 1

Select the dynamic text tool drag a rectangular shape on the stage. This is the area for your text.

Step 2

Using the selection tool select the dynamic text tool and change the line type to multi line.

Step 3

Now, you need to add the scrollbar component to the dynamic text box. First select windows > components > user interface > UIscrollbar then drag the scrollbar next to the dynamic text box. It should look like below:

Step 4

Select the text tool (T) and add some text into your text box.
And then test your movie clip Ctrl + Enter.

You should now have a scrollable text.
